My archives might be a little outdated especially the older blogs. My links above are all new and current.

I have only positive things to say about Permission to Mother, an autobiographical account of a thoughtful mother and clinician who courageously writes from her heart, soul, brain, and personal experience; who is open to change in her views and opinions and is not guided by the safety of rules of any group or the status quo; she is guided by love and openness to the experiences life brings her and her family. Her process benefits her and those around her and those who read her words. And to add to that, the writing style and story telling ability here make it a very enjoyable read speckled with both the humor and seriousness of life. ~Laura Keegan RN FNP, author of Breastfeeding with Comfort and Joy

I Am Against Word Verification

Have my readers all seen Rockstar's Wife post on Word Verification? If not please go check it out and make sure you know what it is and have your blog settings as you mean for them to be. If you want word verification, fine. If you don't, this is a chance to understand it and take it off your comments.
I am old and blind and I have trouble solving them. Plus, I don't have time to solve them. If you don't need it, I for one, would be glad you removed it.

I'm glad she posted that. Thanks! I turned mine off.

I hate it, too. Off to check out her post. (And double check that mine is turned off. I'm 99.9999% sure, but you never know!)

I took mine off ages ago and I also did the same for my daughters blog. It was, by far, thee most aggravating thing in all the world.

I don't think we even have that option on wordpress -- I've never noticed it on any wordpress blog I've commented on. We have settings so that you can have to approve all comments (they go to moderation), or you have to approve all new commenters (and thereafter whatever they say is automatically approved), or that everything is always approved.

I don't like it, though, because there are so many of the letters or numbers that I can't tell apart. In fact, I just commented on a friend's blog and had to do the word verification and couldn't tell if the letter was an "h" or a "b". Sigh...

Another thought... on myspace the word verification are very hard. It gives me one more reason not to bother leaving comments on social networking sites (and not keep going on them.).

I am a charter member in the PAWV (People Against Word Verification) Movement, and although blogs should usually be a safe place ... don't be fooled. Keep that word verification on and it won't be long before your furs will be inked and your Hummers will be lit on fire.

This is not a joke people. Do not let my Chuckie Cheese bib fool you.

Rock On

I may be older, but certainly not blind, thanks to Dr. Robin, and sometimes I have to submit the word verification several times before getting it right. At times I feel like it is taking more time to pass this verification then the task I am trying to get done.

Verifications......ugh!!!!!

I did a blog just like this too! And then most of my friends removed it! It was great!
