I especially enjoy posts about your practice and clients - they give me ideas about the ideal type of practice I would like to have. I also realy enjoy your posts on homeschooling and all the discussion on dyslexia gave me some ideas for helping my youngest child (who I don't think is really dyslexic but was having some issues learning to read and you at least inspired me to look for ways to help her.)

we're living in US and even though we made some friends here, all of our family is overseas and it's not always practical to discuss with them. so we're trying to get information from various sources and your blog has been one of the very helpful ones. thank you

My favorite thing I read on your blog was about how you are still breastfeeding your oldest and not sure how much he is actually getting but you pointed out that breastfeeding satisfies more needs than just nutritional. I really needed to hear that the day I read it - and today. I'm struggling with my milk supply but don't want to give up the breastfeeding bond just yet. I've stuck with it this long, and I'm determined to make it through yet another obstacle. Oh, and I would love to read your book. Your insight has been much appreciated!

I especially enjoy your posts about breastfeeding and success stories. I like seeing breastfeeding photos, especially of toddlers nursing. I also enjoy reading about your adventures with homeschooling your boys and about their religious studies. These are adventures I look forward to someday and I like reading your perspective.

I like it when you work through some of the breastfeeding issues you've seen. It is helpful to be able to use your knowledge among my own friends and/or send them to your blog for help, since we don't live near you. So many "health care providers" (doctors, nurses, and even lactation consultants) are unable to offer *real* help, so give halfhearted breastfeeding advice, and finish with, "and if this doesn't work, you can always switch to formula"! -- and that seriously undermines a nursing mother's strength, power, and ability to believe that she can successfully breastfeed.

You help women around the country by your wonderful knowledge base and experience. It's helpful that you've got the "credentials" of being a doctor, as well as the heart of being a lactation consultant.

I also like your posts on diet, because it helps people buck the "Standard American Diet" [SAD] which is not very healthy.

While I of course love your posts about breastfeeding, your practice, and other issues regarding attachment parenting, I really enjoy your posts about your family. Your love for them truly shows, and that is why I would love to win a copy of your book, because I'm sure it is an amazing book about mothering.
